Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team in the Texas Hill Country at a growing practic! As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the doctor in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the improvement of patients' oral health and help create beautiful smiles.
Duties:
- Assist the doctor during dental procedures, including orthodontic adjustments, appliance placements, and removals
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Assist with patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Perform dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation using electronic systems
Experience:
- Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or Dental Assistant preferred
- Proficiency in using dental office software systems for scheduling, billing, and record keeping
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health procedures, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and X-ray development processes
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Multi-lingual/Spanish-speaking is a bonus.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Invisalign, functional appliances, self-ligating brackets, digital X-rays and intraoral scanner preferred.
We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications, 3-4 days/week.
